i want these sandals! i especially love them with the black tights here, i've already planned them into my wardrobe! Spring is finally peeking its lovely head out... perhaps we will start to have some spring weather.

sophisticated lady

Jennifer Connelly always looks so polished and just sparkles. I love all her dramatic modern pieces that she wears so effortlessly. From sequins to shoulder pads, she does it so well. I would die to have that little maroon sequined jump suit... maybe in the near future, if i can find such fabric!

I'm also beginning to consider: bangs, no bangs? i've been both places before, but now, where to go?

today i am a sunday rose

my kind of day, though I'd prefer less rain. Yesterday we went to Anthropologie and it was divine. I want my world to smell like a garden, I want to be surrounded by all things floral, lace and feminine. There is nothing quite so warm as a sunday roast dinner with all the family gathered around a bouquet of pussy willows.

It was a time of hair, big, big hair. The term is over! and it's time to celebrate! Spring break fills my soul with joy! tomorrow is the official beginning of spring and i can't wait for some 70 degree weather = more clothing options! have a lovely thursday all!

chloe fall/winter 2009

Starting out with a heavy palette of men's wear in dark hues and transforming into softly draped silhouettes, this fall show was lovely. there were so many luxurious and very wearable pants-suits featured in soft black and other neutrals. the entire show looked so effortlessly relaxed and lovely! i'm dying for just one of those pants-suits and the over-the-knee boots! Ah!

Gypsies

Last night the gypsies came-

Nobody knows from where,

Where they're gone to nobody knows,

And nobody seems to care!

Between the trees on the old swamp road 

I saw them round their fire;

Tattered children and dogs that barked

As the flames leaped high and higher;

There were black-eyed girls in scarlet shawls,

Old folks wrinkled with years,

Men with handkerchiefs round their throats

And silver loops in their ears.

Ragged and red like maple leaves

When frost comes in the fall,

The gypsies stated but a single night;

In the morning gone were all-

Never a shaggy gypsy dog.

Never a gypsy child;

Only a burnt out gypsy fire

Where danced that band so wild.

All gone and away,

Who knows where?

Only the wind that sweeps

recyclepalooza!

It was the annual recycle fashion show last week and this was my creation. thank you mom for the lace curtains. the headpiece was complete with a few faux-macarons to top things off! the show was huge (about 60+ pieces) and there were some great pieces. thanks to my little sis' who offered to model my design. don't forget to recycle!
