As I was feeling uber girly, I decided to post these lovely little things. Nothing makes me happier than vintage undergarments. Don't you feel the same way?! These were all a part of the vintage collection when I interned at Betsey Johnson this past fall... lovely!

It was an enjoyable weekend; I went with the fam to do a little shopping at the local St. Vincent's (one of my favorite thrift shops). We found some delightful leather coats, a few sequin pieces, and some sweet kriss kross albums! Yeah, I didn't know that they (kriss kross) had singles produced on vinyl! oh gosh.
The final purchases included: Rio multi-colored Sequin blouse, Nine West brown leather booties, and Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. My sister got a beautiful white vintage lace gown and a Stevie Nicks album (vinyl, of course). Maybe kriss kross will be my next purchase.

A little black and white portrait... And then, TA-DA... finally the PVC pants. I'm pretty sure they're on their way out but I had to have them. It was driving me crazy whenever i saw them, on blogs, in person, in stores!! I had to have them. Now I finally do and where to wear them?? Who know!

from one grunge sister to another

walking in someone else's shoes, yeah, i did that today. thanks to my dear friend Jill, i was able to sport these sweet docs. my dear sister and i seem to be on the same wave-length today, yet we both have different interpretations of the '90's. i didn't actually make it out in this outfit today, but it had been in my head. i love this american apparel dress... i wear it as much as possible. it's a great piece for layering and the iron-on skull fills my little heart with joy. Have a happy friday!

Got some new boots at target last night, Frye knock offs... I couldn't pass them up! New dress from Forever 21, scarf and coat Forever 21, pants Karot's Jodphurs.

gObama! it's a good thing

Seeing as I was working during the inauguration this morning, i thought i would focus on today's ensemble (since i knew what was going on with it). it's a day of change and new things to come. today i tried out my new coat, very comfy. the sandals were an after-thought though and they didn't make it into the real world. it was too cold for such things.

HALLELUJAH IT'S FRIDAY!!!

The day ended up like this...almost... I was going to wear that coat but had to give in and wear my nasty down coat per usual. 9 degrees is just too cold for cotton! I tell you what!! 2 weeks down ...12 to go 

This is how the day started... my under layers that I wear almost daily and then build upon with dresses, etc. A little Audrey in Funnyface, yes?

Yesterday was cold and therefore a lovely coat was required. I do love this coat; I got it at St.Vincent de Paul's for a great deal. It has fur trim too! Oh my! Right now I am really loving the cure. they remind me of good old times and they inspire as well. the annual recycle fashion show is coming up and i have to get some ideas flowing... curtains are the current item on my mind. last year it was a pool cover. any thoughts?

Today I felt very self conscious about my eyebrows. Until, I realized that I like bushy eyebrows and every one else can kiss it.

the matador

It's been a lovely day today, the sun was shining and the UPS man came! I received a nice little package of sheer pantyhose with BACK SEAM! Very exciting. They look like this:


And now for today's ensemble. The red tights really did it for me. I felt like a matador with the ballet flats, very Spain. But where's my bull?
