We're really getting down to the wire with school- grand week 10! Lindsay will be graduating next Saturday (!!!) with a B.S. in Apparel Design. While the job market seems to be slumping, spirits here at home might be considered soaring. I greatly anticipate Lindsay's return to our home of 22 years. We will be taking over Mom's room (!!) and though we might need an exorcism of the yellow peeling wallpaper, the overall notion of sharing a room again is thrilling. I'm voting we paint it a ballet slipper pale pinky-nude. We'll have to make a trip to iKea for some storage stations- bookshelfs for all those Vogues and Martha Stewarts. Gah I ordered 2 new pairs of shoes and 2 new dresses from anthropologie.com- SHAME SHAME. So bad, especially since I will probably be paying for my 15 hours of French at U of O...\

day dreaming dear

i seem to be in a dreamy wander of the future today. i'm so busy with school and life. i'm hard pressed to find a moment for inspiration. i've reestablished my life long dreams. I'd share them, but i can't risk someone stealing them...they might not come true. the nightly ritual of a wonderful bath keeps me grounded, helps me find a bit of peace in the mad dash and daily grind. i spent the entire day stopping at every shop in every part of town with my mom. my favorite days are spent running errands with her. we are so alike, we love paper and feminine things chocolates, that which sparkles. we were picking out little trinkets for everyone's easter baskets, i miss the surprise now that i'm the easter bunny's accomplice, yet it is endlessly enjoyable to hunt for things my sisters will love. i hope easter is beautifully simple and elegant for all. i also wish i were jewish, celebrating passover... maybe next year.

i want these sandals! i especially love them with the black tights here, i've already planned them into my wardrobe! Spring is finally peeking its lovely head out... perhaps we will start to have some spring weather.

Jennifer Connelly always looks so polished and just sparkles. I love all her dramatic modern pieces that she wears so effortlessly. From sequins to shoulder pads, she does it so well. I would die to have that little maroon sequined jump suit... maybe in the near future, if i can find such fabric!

I'm also beginning to consider: bangs, no bangs? i've been both places before, but now, where to go?

today i am a sunday rose

my kind of day, though I'd prefer less rain. Yesterday we went to Anthropologie and it was divine. I want my world to smell like a garden, I want to be surrounded by all things floral, lace and feminine. There is nothing quite so warm as a sunday roast dinner with all the family gathered around a bouquet of pussy willows.

It was a time of hair, big, big hair. The term is over! and it's time to celebrate! Spring break fills my soul with joy! tomorrow is the official beginning of spring and i can't wait for some 70 degree weather = more clothing options! have a lovely thursday all!
